Harold Eugene Harwell

Funeral services for Harold Eugene Harwell, 55, of Gainesville, are set for 10:00 AM Monday, May 22, 2023 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, May 21 at the funeral home.

Mr. Harwell passed away May 15, 2023 in Gainesville. He was born October 20, 1967 in Denton to Eugene Thomas and Cordellia Anne (McDaniel) Harwell. He married Belinda Wilcox on September 19, 1986.

Harold was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. As a kid he enjoyed spending time with his dad visiting flea markets. He liked to travel and to go fishing with his family as much as possible. He was fond of having family outings, spending as much time as he could with them, especially his grandkids. He worked at Winstar Casino and Resort in maintenance and security.

Mr. Harwell is survived by his wife Belinda Harwell; daughter and son-in-law Mary Ann Turner and Cory Blaylock; son and daughter-in-law Thomas E. and Karen Harwell; sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth and Barry Turner; sister and brother-in-law Brenda and Chris Finch; fourteen grandkids; one niece and two nephews; brother and best friends Glenn and Connie Glasscock.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother Margaret Harwell; step-father Melvin Bailey; uncle Walter Bailey; grandparents Vera and Tom Harwell and Lucy and Andrew McDaniel.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Meek, Damian Turner, Anthony Bailey, Billy Bailey, GW Carpenter, and Donnie Hurst. Honorary pallbearers are Adam Wilcox, Jessie Sanders, Thomas Rico, Robby Robinson, and Cooper Bailey.
