Helen Lorene Hudspeth

Helen Lorene Hudspeth (Ford), 83 passed away Monday November 2, 2020 in Forestburg, Texas.

There will be a visitation Thursday November 5, 2020 from 6-8pm at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas.  Funeral services will be held Friday November 6, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Forestburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Greg Parr.  Burial followed at Perryman Cemetery.

Helen was born November 1, 1937 in Rosston, Texas to Annie Mae Bewley and Archie Ford.  She graduated from Era Highschool.  Helen worked in downtown Dallas, later they moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma and she found herself making red beans and homemade rolls for their neighbor Rose and Pete Fair.  In the early 1960s they moved back to Dallas where she worked about 20 years in the grocery stores.  In 1984 Helen began working at the University of North Texas until she was able to retire in the mid 90s.

She is preceded in death by her parents Archie and Annie Mae Ford, her husband Charles Hudspeth, her brothers Edmond Ford, Homer Ford, Red Ford, Bill Ford, Bud Ford, Leon Ford and her sisters Ruth Ferguson and Wanda Nell Ford.

She is survived by her sons Brian Hudspeth, wife Stacie Hudspeth and Mike Hudspeth, wife Vicki Hudspeth, grandchildren Lourissa Wright, Savanah Johnson, husband Garrett Johnson, Cody Hudspeth, wife Stacy Hudspeth, Naomi Alvarado, husband Jerry Alvarado, great grandchildren, Kincaid Johnson, Braysen O’Hagan, Houston Johnson, Kendall Wright, Carson Hudspeth, Noah Alvarado, Braysen Jones, Harper Wright, Price Johnson, Westin Hudspeth and soon to be Braylen Hudspeth, brother Carl Ford, wife Laura Dell Ford and sister Vera Holley, husband Pete Holley and various in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Ford, Kyle Ford, Jerry Ford, Don Ford, Cody Hudspeth and Garrett Johnson.
