Henrietta Bailey passed away on January 15, 2025 at the age of 93.
Henrietta was born on October 25, 1931 to Henry Riley and Ruby Brewer in Krum, Texas. After graduating from Krum High School she went on to earn a degree in Education from what is currently University of North Texas. Where she met and married the love of her life, Everett Bailey. They soon moved from their beloved Texas to pursue his career, finally settling in Ohio. They went on to have two children, Kelvin Bailey and Julia Wilson. Her varied work career included teaching, dietetics and interior design. Upon retiring they moved back to Texas to be with family, where she began her second career volunteering. She was active in the Fort Worth Newcomers Club, Code Blue, and First Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth. She was most proud of her work with the Botanical Society of the Fort Worth Garden Club where she served as president. She worked diligently on the boardwalk project and Concerts in the Gardens.
She was a much loved grandmother and great grandmother always willing to get down on the floor and play, singing songs, and having food and toys that parents didn’t allow. She leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Andrew Wilson, AJ Wilson, Tyler Bailey, Evan Wilson, and Mackenzie Duncan, 9 great grandchildren; Aubrey Bailey, Easton Bailey, Cole Bailey, Roxy Bailey, Willard Bailey, Everett Jack Wilson, Archer Wilson, Joshua Wilson, and Riley Wilson.

Always thinking of ways to help others, Henrietta has donated her body to UTSW Willed Body Program. Her remains will be returned to the family once research is complete. These will be interred with Everett at the Plainview Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation to your local Hospice. Hospice was a great comfort to us in the final days of both Henrietta and Everett.
