Herbert "Herbie" Joseph Hacker

Herbert “Herbie” Joseph Hacker , 56, of Valley View passed away on December 3, 2019 in Denton, Texas, following an extended illness. A graveside service for Herbie J. Hacker was held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2019, in Valley View Cemetery.

The family viewing was held at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, December 5, 2019.

Herbie was born in Gainesville, Texas, on January 30, 1964, to Tony and Martha Prescher Hacker. He graduated from Valley View High School. Herbie met Jan Hacker and they married in 1996 and raised four children. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed working with his hands doing carpentry work and building homes. Herbie will be missed by all of those who knew him and being a caring and loving father who loved to crack dad jokes and make everyone smile.

Herbie is survived by his 4 children: son Kris Bury of Oregon; daughter Katherine Hacker Valley View; daughter Kym Bury of Oregon; son Anthony Hacker, girlfriend Rachelle Brown, and stepson Schon Brown of Denton; and two dogs.

Herbie is also survived by his brother Alfred Hacker of Valley View, and three sisters, Leela, Lisa and Linda of Gainesville.

Herbie was preceded in death by his wife, Jan Hacker of Valley View; his mother, Martha Hacker of Valley View, and his father, Tony Hacker of Valley View.
