Iliana Bauwin was born on April 12, 1933 in Holland to Louis and Anna-Dora Siebke. Iliana died on October 5, 2018 in Gainesville, Texas at the North Texas Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her three children, son Allan Bauwin and his wife Lisa of Corinth, son Harry Bauwin and his wife Robin of Gainesville, and daughter Becky Bauwin of Gainesville. Eight grandchildren, Taylor Wallace and her husband Stephen, Gunnar Bauwin and his fiancé Kayla, Anthony West, Kristen West, Hannah Bauwin, Kade Bauwin, Karis Bauwin, and Kyser Bauwin. Three great-grandchildren, Watson Wallace, Harper Wallace, and Madeline West. One sister, Ramona De Jonge-Siebke and her husband John of Holland, numerous nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
Iliana was an avid lover of animals, and enjoyed spending her free time volunteering with the local ASPCA. She was a member of the Woodbine Baptist Church for over forty years, where she spent most Sundays, and countless Wednesdays. In her later years she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and bragged about their accomplishments daily.
Iliana is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Anna-Dora, her sister Ingrid, her brother Loukie, her best friend of twenty years her cat Simba, and the love of her life Paul (Max) Bauwin. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Woodbine Baptist Church at 11:00am.
