Inice Lee Daniel

Inice Lee Daniel, 86, of Gainesville, passed away December 12, 2022 in Denton.

Mrs. Daniel was born August 27, 1936 in Mississippi.  She moved to Houston during her childhood and has been a resident of Gainesville since 1969.  Mrs. Daniel worked in the banking industry and as a legal assistant.  She was skilled in the arts of stained glass and tole painting.  Mrs. Daniel was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Gainesville.

Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by: parents Charles Dallas and Versie Lena (Johnson) Smith; husband Royce Henderson Daniel; and sister Charlene Whaley.

Survivors include: daughter Vicki Daniel Moody and husband John of Sherman; son Stephen Craig Daniel of Gainesville; grandchildren: Jason Moody, and Jessica Moody Anderson and husband Eric; great-grandson Bennett Riley Moody; and sister Betty Baber of Sugarland.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.  A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17 in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Mountain Springs.
