James Edward Hott

James Edward Hott, 77, passed away on December 15, 2019 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

James was born on February 21, 1942 to Jewell Markwood Hott and Lillian Beatrice Sims Hott in Cooke County.  He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.

He married Margaret Douglass of Oakmont, Pennsylvania on June 28, 1963.  He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed watching old westerns on TV and visits from family and friends.

James is survived by his wife Margie of Leon, Oklahoma; sister Georgia Ann Norris of Mineral Wells; brother George Hott of Fort Worth; son Evan Hott and wife Patsy of Princeton; daughter Shell Burch of Gainesville; son Doug from Gainesville; 12 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents Jewell (Kirby) and Lillian Hott; brothers J.J. Hott and wife Wanda; Raymond Hott and wife Virginia; Ray Hott and wife Sandra; brother-in-law Winston Norris and sister-in-law Margaret Hott.
