Javier Pacheco Cabrera

Javier Pacheco Cabrera, 60, of Gainesville, previously of Charlotte, passed away March 25, 2022 in Gainesville.

Javier was born January 31, 1962 in La Villa de Zaachila, Oaxaca, Mexico.  He was a very happy person growing up and enjoyed playing soccer.  Javier was very loved, not just by his family, but by his friends as well.  He also loved listening to music and dancing.  He particularly cherished the moment in 2012 when he was reunited with his mother in California after 24 years of not seeing each other.

Mr. Cabrera was preceded in death by: wife, Maria Lily Cabrera; father, Isaias Cabrera; and mother, Maria Elena Pacheco.

Survivors include: sisters: Isabel Cabrera, Martha Cabrera, Maria Antonia Cabrera, and Zulma Cabrera; brothers: Julio Cabrera and Pablo Erick Cabrera; sons: Javier Vallejo and wife Heilda, Felipe de Jesus Vallejo and wife Gracie, Steven Vallejo, Alfredo Vallejo and wife Janie, Gary Vallejo, and Sebastian Vallejo and wife Valerie; daughters: Martina Vallejo, Nicole Balthrop, and Jessica Balthrop; 27 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled for 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.  The family will receive friends at 4:00 P.M. prior to the service.
