Jd Gibbs, Jr.

JD Gibbs Jr. , of Muenster, TX passed away peacefully Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Renaissance Care Center in Gainesville, TX.

JD was born August 17, 1946 in Gainesville, TX. He graduated from Gainesville High School. He served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1968. He married Elizabeth (Betty) F. Knabe July 19, 1980. JD enjoyed spending time with his family and making new friends. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, taxidermy, welding, knife and lure making and photographing the people and nature he loved.

JD is survived by his wife, Betty, three children, Shawnna Gibbs-Dandridge, Daniel Knabe, and Roxanne Knabe-Thompson, two brothers, Ronnie and David, sister, Sandra Pierce, grandchildren, Robert, Logan, Dustin and William Thompson, Makayla, Caleb, and Trinity Knabe, Christopher Woolman and his daughter, Isabella as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his father, JD Sr., mother, Wilma, brothers, Jerry Don and Tommy, sisters, Judy and Donna and his beloved dog Pokey.

The family invites those who wish to pay their respects to the visitation, which will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 4pm to 6pm at the George J. Carroll & Son funeral home and/or the graveside services which will be held at the Fairview Cemetery Pavilion at 10am on Monday, February 5, 2018.
