Jeanne Brooks Hinkle

Funeral services for Jeanne Brooks Hinkle, 82, of Gainesville, will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Whaley United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.  A visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hinkle passed away June 5, 2019 at her home.  She was born July 26, 1936 in Denton to Charlie and Leora (Johnson) Brooks.

Jean worked as manager at WAGE Federal Credit Union for 35 years.  She was a loving wife for 62 years, a loving mom, devoted Nanny and Great-Nanny.

Mrs. Hinkle is survived by her husband Ed Hinkle of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law Gary and Brenda Hinkle of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law Sheryl and Van Tooley of Ozark, AR; son and daughter-in-law Darryl and Missy Hinkle of Gainesville; grandchildren:  Van Tooley, Jr. and his wife Rashelle of Layton, UT, Nathan Tooley and his wife Brittany of Ozark, AR, Jeremy Hinkle of Gainesville, Jayce Hinkle of Gainesville, Cassey Cooley and husband Daniel of Fort Worth, Hayden Hinkle of Gainesville.  She is also survived by her great-grandchildren:  Nathaniel Tooley of Layton, UT, Jàcen  Tooley of Layton, UT, Garret McKinney of Layton UT, Brody Hinkle of Gainesville.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Roy Charles Brooks and Curtis Brooks.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Scott, Terry Hall, Louie Zaragosa, Marcus Brooks, Miguel Luna, and Shelton Medlock.
