Jeffery Wayne Donnelly

Jeffery Wayne Donnelly, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 12:57 AM.

Mr. Donnelly was born on April 13, 1964 in Gainesville, TX to Wendell and Dollie Donnelly.  In his younger years he competed in the rodeo, team-roping and riding bulls and broncs.  He also enjoyed riding his dirt bike and racing cross-country.  Jeff was a hard worker; he never complained.  He worked at Peterbilt Motors for 20 years before starting his career as a transport driver for Red River Co-Op.

In his free time, you could find Jeff in the woods.  He was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved camping, deer hunting, coon hunting, and fishing.  He enjoyed riding his Harleys and keeping them squeaky clean.  He loved sharing these activities with his children, Cody and Logan.

Jeff was a loving and proud Dad and Papa.  He was a patient teacher who passed down his knowledge, commitment to the Lord, and family values to his children and grandchildren.  He was devoted to his family and a loyal friend; he was always quick to help whenever there was a need.  He was a warrior of many battles who strove to inspire others to overcome hardships.

Jeff was survived by his parents, Wendell and Dollie Donnelly; his siblings Lori Jackson, Kinzy Donnelly, Kerrie Alexander, and Lee Donnelly; his children Cody Donnelly and Logan Rochell; and his grandchildren, Rylee Donnelly, Kruze Rochell, Memphis Rochell, and Lane Rochell.

A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel at 602 S. Lindsay St. Gainesville, TX 76240.  Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Donnelly's closed casket will be available to the public all day Monday February 27 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
