Jequita “Jacki” (Gillum) Holmes ended her earthly journey on December 5th, 2024. She was born September 23, 1959 in Topeka, KS and raised in Weatherford, TX. She enjoyed raising chickens and working with her dad in his body shop. She became a long-haul truck driver at a very early age and enjoyed the open road.
Although Jacki passed at a young age she lived an incredibly full life. When she was just 19 years old, she married Gary Little and also became a stepmother. She took the role very seriously and continued raising her children until her passing. In the early years of her marriage to Gary they also decided they wanted to become foster parents and they ultimately fostered more than 40 girls through the years. She was so blessed by her daughters and lived a full life because of them, staying very busy as they had their own kids.
Jacki married Jimmy Sutton in her 30’s and that love is where she found her passion for motorcycles.
She later married Pete Holmes. Although Jacki was a fairly serious person, Pete could always make her smile and laugh. She was also a very active grandparent and great-grandparent and played a very important role as Nayna.
Jacki was a self-sufficient person and had a career in computer science. She was very smart and quick-witted, which made her successful at any job she set out to do.
She had many hobbies in her life, but the one that stood out the most was her love of motorcycles and her motorcycle family. For a long while of her life she produced biker rallies and was very active in her clubs. She even held the title of chapter president of a local riding club. She truly enjoyed traveling all over the USA on her motorcycle.
Jacki leaves behind her dearest friends Brenda Mahan, Tommy “Trott” LeJuene, Troy “Hoss” Dykes, Bobby & Jamie Mick, and Lisa “Lucky” Moen; her daughters Tammy (Tommy) Perkins, Ida (Chris) Luster, Lakrisha (Robert) Bean, Beth (Jim) Christiansen, Sonja (Marcus) Embrey, Kelli (Julia) Zacarias, and Cynthia Malone; and the large extended family of foster children, 15 grandchildren, and a massive amount of great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a large extended family.
Jacki was preceded in death by: husband, Pete; her parents, Irene and Winfred; brother Ricky Gillum; and sister Linda Gillum.
As per her wishes, there will not be a memorial service, but her close friends and family will scatter her remains in her favorite places.
