Jerome (Jerry) Hugo Dietz

Liturgy of the Word will be recited for Jerome (Jerry) Hugo Dietz, 76, of Gainesville, at 10:00 AM, Thursday, 2024 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Dn. Gelacio Garcia officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Dietz passed away on June 20, 2024 in Denison.  He was born on December 12, 1947 in Gainesville, to August William, Jr. and Cora Mae (Salmon) Dietz.

Jerry was a loving father, grandfather, and husband.  He enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  He never missed a chance to go fishing.

Mr. Dietz is survived by daughter and son-in-law Tracy Lynn Dietz and Michael Ware; son and daughter-in-law Jereme Dale and Alisha McLaughlin Dietz; granddaughters Raegan and Rylie Dietz; brother and sister-in-law Robert August and Jean Stobaugh Dietz.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Linda Marie Stobaugh Dietz, and his brother Teddy Dietz.

Pallbearers for the service are:  Steve Smith, Trevor McLaughlin, Brandon McLaughlin, Dan Cogburn, Kent Hinzman, and Daniel Young.
