Jimalea Mcgee

Funeral services for Jimalea McGee, 95, of Gainesville, are set for 2:30 PM Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Kremling officiating.  Burial will follow in New Resthaven Cemetery.  A visitation will be held the hour before the service, starting at 1:30 PM.

Jimalea passed away August 30, 2023 in Gainesville.  She was born April 26, 1928 to Harley and Avna Amelia (McPhearson) Miller in Medford, OK.

Mrs. McGee enjoyed playing Bingo and gardening in her spare time.  She also loved visiting with her grandkids and great-grandkids.  She will be dearly missed.

Jimalea is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David and Cecilia Odell of Marietta, OK; sister Betty Barnes of Forney; sister Harlen King of Marietta; sister Sue Miller of Thackerville, OK; grandchildren:  Shane Daymude, Heath Odell, Jerad Odell, Brent Odell; great-grandchildren:  Shannah and Shailyn Daymude, Hunter and Hade Odell; Faith and Ethan Odell, Katherine, Allison, Madison, Oliver, and Isaiah Odell.

Mrs. McGee was preceded in death by her sister Wilma Thompson, sister Ann Cason, brother B. H. Miller, brother Doug Miller, grandson Casey Odell.
