Joan Alexander, 73, of Pilot Point passed away on November 20th in Decatur, Tx.
Visitation will start at 2:00 p.m. and the funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. on November 23rd, 2019 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Deke Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Mountain Springs, Tx.
Joan was born in Gainesville, Tx to Jessie and Myrtle Wilson on December 17th, 1945. She married Buster Alexander on October 23rd, 1964. She worked at Boeing, assembling airplane parts, until her retirement. She had a love for reading that has carried on for generations. Joan was a very selfless person giving and caring for others. She loved to talk and wasn’t afraid to let you know what she truly was thinking. She loved her family and was always there when you needed her.
Joan is preceded in death by her ex-husband and life-long companion, Buster Alexander, parents Jessie and Myrtle Wilson, Brother-in-law A.J. King, nephews Craig and Kevin Wilson, niece Jaqueline Wilson, and great-nephews Greg King, Grayson and Parker Jones.
Joan is survived by her daughter Deidre and husband Jason, granddaughter Makenna, grandson Dylan, sisters Rita King, Jean Thompson, and husband Jon, brothers Paul Wilson and wife Vicky, Kenneth Wilson and wife Karen, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jason and Dylan Wise, Brett and Robbie Kaylor, Jeff Leaton, and Nelson Haynie.
