Joan Kuhn Pulte

A Mass of Christian Burial for Joan Elizabeth (Kuhn) Pulte, 68, of Lindsay, is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Monday, January 13, 2020 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Fr. Matthew Tatyrek officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.  A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 12 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with visitation following.

Ms. Pulte passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2020 in Lindsay.

Joan was born March 4, 1951 in Gainesville to Frank and Rose (Kuntz) Kuhn.  She graduated from Lindsay High School in 1969.  Ms. Pulte began working at Dr. Milton Dickson’s dentist office out of high school. She then worked for the local cable company for many years and eventually retired from North Central Texas College in 2017.  She enjoyed being an Aggie mom, tending to her numerous flower gardens, socializing with her many friends including her “Sit ’n’ Sip Group”, and treasured the moments she spent with her grandchildren. She especially loved cheering on Kayln at all her sporting events over the years and her many adventures with Henry, which included swimming lessons, vacations to Colorado and the Northeast, and rides in his John Deere Gator. Being a grandma was definitely the highlight of her life.

Survivors include: son Scott James Pulte and wife Jamie of Lindsay; daughter Kelly Rose Peschke and husband Victor of Dallas; grandchildren: Kayln Pulte and Henry Peschke; sister Verna Mages of Lindsay; nieces and nephews: Lisa Mages, Melinda James, Chris Kuhn, and Todd Kuhn; and great-nephews: Tyler Kuhn and Chance Kuhn.

Ms. Pulte was preceded in death by: parents, Frank and Rose Kuhn; grandson Phillip Peschke; brother Leslie Kuhn; and brother-in-law Norbert Mages.

Serving as pallbearers are: Chris Kuhn, Mark Kuntz, Steve Stroud, Jeff Grewing, Dale Bauer, and James Floyd.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Camp Sweeney and Lindsay Volunteer Fire Department.
