Joe Thurman

Joe Thurman, 45, of Gainesville, passed away October 15, 2022 in Aiken, SC.

Joe was born March 16, 1977 in Muenster, TX.  He was raised in Woodbine and graduated from Callisburg High School.  He married Gina Surratt on October 15, 1996 in Woodbine.  Mr. Thurman took great pride is his work and considered taking care of his family his highest priority.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating in his free time.

Mr. Thurman was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Elaine Thurman.

Survivors include: wife Gina Thurman; son Dade Thurman and wife Samantha of Denton; son Conner Thurman of Gainesville; parents Paul and Pam (McCrory) Thurman Sr.; brother Paul Granville Thurman Jr. and wife Katie of Whitesboro; brother Anthony Charles Thurman and wife Courtney of Gordonville; and grandmother Bobbie Surratt of Gainesville.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friend before and after the service.
