John Clifford “Johnny” Gray, 65, of Gainesville, passed away November 15, 2023 in Ardmore, OK.

Johnny was born August 6, 1958 in Cleburne and raised in Cooke County.  He graduated from Gainesville High School and had a career in the oil field.  Johnny loved spending time with his family and friends.  Although most of his free time was spent farming, he loved to go fishing and was always lending a helping hand to others.  Mr. Gray loved being outdoors and caring for animals.  He also enjoyed traveling and exploring.

Mr. Gray was predeceased by: parents Bill and Gladys (Roller) Gray; sister Linda Taylor; sister Beth Thomas; and brother Martin Gray.

Mr. Gray is survived by: daughter Chrystle Gray of Gainesville; daughter Natalie Gray of Gainesville; grandchildren Alyssa Gaschler, Garrett Carter, Braden Gray, and Jesse Pipkin; sister Christie Hall and husband Bootie of Gainesville; and nephews Allen and Robert Thomas.

Serving as pallbearers are: Garrett Carter, Braden Gray, Jesse Pipkin, David Malone, Butch Malone, and Dwayne Moore.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.  A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22 in the funeral home chapel.  A committal service will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Collinsville.
