Johnny Logue, 71, longtime resident of Callisburg, TX, most recently of Fayetteville, AR, passed away peacefully at his childhood home, surrounded by family, on October 12, 2023, in Callisburg.
Johnny was born July 10, 1952 in Gainesville, TX. He was raised in Callisburg and graduated from Callisburg High School, where he played baseball and football. After completing high school, he pursued various career paths. He worked as a machinist and an electrician, gaining valuable skills in these trades. He also had a significant role in the oil field, operating a perforating truck. Following an injury, he embarked on a new journey and earned a bachelor’s degree in art from the University of North Texas. Subsequently, he dedicated six years to teaching at Callisburg schools. Later, he returned to the oil field, where he continued to contribute his talents and expertise. On November 28, 2009, he married Teresa A. Scott in Henrietta, TX. Mr. Logue took great pride in being a Texan and was a history enthusiast with a profound knowledge of the subject, especially Texas history. He also enjoyed woodworking, black-powder firearms, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Survivors include: wife Teresa Logue of Fayetteville; daughter Amy Michelle Bazemore (Corey) of The Woodlands, TX; son John Ryan Logue of Whitesboro, TX; son Chad Greer (Krystal) of Era, TX; step-daughter Victoria Hennessey (Daniel) of Fayetteville; step-son Zachary Pruitt of Russellville, AR; grandchildren Isabella Bazemore, Michay Bazemore, Chad Greer Jr., Kyle Greer, Morgan Greer, Lynlee Hennessey, Matthew Hennessey, and Samantha Cooper; sister Rebecca Ward of Callisburg; sister Linda Logue Matas (Ramiro) of Dexter; brother Everett Dale Logue (Cindy) of Gainesville; aunt Annie Furman of Georgia; cousins Doug Logue, Rhonda Logan, and Kathy Logue Logan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Logue was predeceased by his parents, John B. and Julia (Reynolds) Logue.
A memorial service is pending at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County or Hibbit Baptist Church.
