Joseph "Joe" Kenneth Ware

Joseph Kenneth Ware, 87, of Callisburg, TX passed away on April 8, 2023.  He was born August 10, 1935 in Gainesville to proud parents George Patrick Ware Sr. and Grace Roe Carson Ware.

In 1975, Joe married Nell Ware of Gainesville and they made their home in Callisburg.  Joe graduated from Callisburg High School.  He went on to graduate from the University of North Texas and Texas A & M with a bachelor and Master’s degree.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Callisburg.  Joe taught machine shop at Cooke County College for 30 years.  Joe & Nell owned Joe K. Ware Sporting Goods & Ware Trophy shop for over 20 years in Gainesville.

Mr. Ware is survived by:  daughter Brenda Ware of Lake Dallas; son-in-law Vernon “Coach” Wright; daughter Sharon Hess and son in law Terry Hess of Valley View; son Clint Dutton of Ft. Worth; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brother George P. Ware, Jr. of Gainesville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joe is preceded in death by his wife Nell Ware; daughter Linda Wright; daughter Karen Gregg; great-grandson Kevin Dutton; sister Iris Miller Isaac; Parents George P. Ware; & Grace Carson Ware; sister-in-law Joyce Ware.

Funeral services are set for 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 12,2023 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral with Bro. Chad Fitts officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairview.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the funeral home at 6:00 PM.
