Josh Gray, 39, of Marietta, passed away June 24, 2022 in Oklahoma City, OK.
Josh was born May 25, 1983 in Denton, TX. He grew up in Cooke County, TX and graduated from Callisburg High School. Josh married Lindsey Fanning and settled in Marietta, OK with their two daughters. He worked in car sales and the oil field, continued his love of team roping, and had a passion for baseball.
Josh loved life and ran wide open. He loved his family and loved his daughters and brother huge! Josh made a friend everywhere he went. He rededicated his life to Christ on April 28, 2019 and was baptized with his daughters, niece, and nephew.
Mr. Gray was preceded in death by: grandfather Billy Joe Gray Sr.; grandfather Riley Pat Horan Sr; and uncle Riley Pat Horan Jr.
Survivors include: daughters Kynleigh and Rubee Gray of Marietta, OK; mother Nancy Janelle Horan and husband Cal Getz of Joshua, TX; grandparents Don and Betty King of Gainesville, TX; grandmother Nita Gray of Gainesville, TX; grandmother Linda Horan of Burleson, TX; grandmother Jean Peery of Marietta, OK; brother Adam Gray and wife Nicole of Elmore City, OK; niece Erin Gray and nephew Cooper Harden of Elmore City, OK; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are: Adam Gray, Cody Hudspeth, Justin Swank, Kyle Patterson, Stephen Lindsay, and Ryan Smith. Honorary pallbearers are: Tommy Cheaney, Cooper Harden, Cody Lee, Bradley Barnard, Justin Gomez, and John Luke Waltrip. Memorial contributions may be made to the benefit account set up by Adam and Nicole Gray for Josh’s daughters, Kynleigh and Rubee.
