Joyce Marie Manuel

Joyce Marie Manuel, age 67, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2022 with family by her side.

Joyce was born on December 4, 1954 in Gainesville, Texas to Mary Louise Latimer and Chester Childress.  Joyce received her formal education from Gainesville High School in 1973.  She was a devoted and active member of Bethel A.M.E. Church of Gainesville, Texas for many years.  She recently retired from Safran after 30 years of service.  Joyce enjoyed spending time with family, friends, being “Maw Maw” to her four grandchildren, and shopping.

She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Claude (Gabrielle) Manuel Jr. of Denton Texas, and Brandon (Donielle) Manuel, of Prosper, Texas; brothers Lilton (Stephanie) Lawson and Paul Lawson (Janice) of Gainesville; sister Alice (Ruben) Rambo of Ardmore, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Malachi Manuel, Makenna Manuel, Princeton Manuel, and Paxton Manuel and a host of many relatives and friends.

Joyce was loved and cherished by her family and community.  She will be remembered by her gracefulness, contagious smile, loving and kind spirit.

Visitation & funeral services will both be held at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas on Friday August 5, 2022.  Visitation will start at 10:00 AM and funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM.
