A graveside service for Joyce Wylie, 82, longtime Gainesville resident, most recently of Scottsdale, AZ, is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Larry Kremling officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 PM on Friday, April 26 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Joyce Marie Smart Wylie was born in Gainesville, TX on March 26, 1937 to Desi Ruth and William Leon Smart.  Joyce, suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease, passed away on April 22, 2019 in Scottsdale, AZ.

Joyce is survived by one brother, Gene Smart and his wife, Beth, of Floresville, TX; daughters Janice Kimball and her husband, Kerry, of Scottsdale, AZ and Barbie Dyer and her husband, Marty, of Bogart, GA; son Michael Lancaster and his wife, Donna, of Waxahachie, TX; uncle Darriel (Lefty) Harlow and his wife, Linda, of Gainesville and 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wylie, brothers Delbert Smart, Jerry Brown and Wayne Brown and sister Iva Leona (Tootsie) Smart Brown.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
