Funeral services for Juanita Martin Hampton, 91, of Gainesville, are set for 10:00 AM Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Loewen officiating. Burial will follow in the New Resthaven Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
Juanita was born on October 2, 1928 in Sadler to John L. Holley and Viola (Campbell) Holley. She passed away on March 16, 2020 in Gainesville.
Juanita lived most of her life in Gainesville. She was a member of the First Christian Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and participated in women's fellowship. Juanita was an accomplished seamstress and cook. She also enjoyed being an Avon representative for many years. She most enjoyed her church and her family.
Juanita is survived by her son Dr. Ernest Martin and wife Marsha of Gainesville; grandsons Brandon Martin, Dustin Martin, Matt Simmons, and Michael Simmons; great-granddaughter Brianna Nicole Martin; son-in-law Mike Simmons; brother Charles Wesley Holley and his wife Vera; brother-in-law Charles "Pete" Martin and his wife Betty; sister-in-law Martha Davidson and her husband Ed; sister-in-law Pat Martin; sister-in-law Twana Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands Ernest B. Martin, and Marshall M. Hampton; daughter Margaret Anita Simmons; brother Thomas R. Holley; brother James Holley; and sister Margaret Aline Cason.
