Julia Marie Dawkins

Julia Marie Dawkins, age 83, of Valley View, passed away June 12, 2022 in Denton.  She was born August 10, 1938 in Dayton, OH to Wilfred E. and Mary Jane (Baker) Romer.

Julia has lived in Valley View since July, 2000.  She was a member of the Valley View United Methodist Church.  She loved being involved with her church and her church family.  She enjoyed cooking, quilting, puzzle books, and reading.  She also loved traveling and spending time in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.  Most of all, she loved God and her family.

Mrs. Dawkins is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jane Marie and Brad Stevens of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law Joan Marie and Alan Hudspeth of Muenster; grandchildren Joseph and Michelle McCauley, Tyler Lindsey, Julia Hudspeth with fiancé Jake Jones, Jenna Hudspeth; great-grandchildren Jax Lindsey, Cooper and Adelyn McCauley.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband Gerald D. Dawkins; brothers Fred and Robert Romer; sister Patricia Gore.
