Julie Ann Muller, 61, of Denton, passed away June 8, 2023 in Gainesville.
Julie was born April 14, 1962 in Gainesville. She was raised in Valley View and there graduated high school in 1980. She played basketball all through school and on the court, had the nickname of “Moose”. Julie was proud of her work, first as an employee at the Denton State School for 16 years, then Texas Woman’s University for 18 years, and eventually as a security officer at Texas Motor Speedway for 6 years. She was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers. Julie’s greatest achievement was that of a loving mother and grandmother, giving birth to son Chris in 1983, daughter Melissa in 1984, and becoming “Grandma” in 2002.
Julie was predeceased by: father Chris Muller; brother Bobby Muller; and the love of her life, Eddie O’Deneal.
Survivors include: son Chris Kirby (Nicky) of Whitesboro; daughter Melissa King (Bobby) of Valley View; grandkids Dawson, Briley, Billie, Sylas, and Neyomi; mother Betty Muller of Gainesville; brother W.C. Muller (Doris) of Muenster; sister Jeannie Alexander of Valley View; sister Donna Allen (Ricky) of Gainesville; sister Vickie Solito of Gainesville; and sister-in-law Kim Muller of Mayetta, KS.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 11 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 on Monday, June 12 at Valley View Cemetery.
