A memorial service for Karin Darlene Zaragoza, 71, of Gainesville, will be held at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, on December 29, 2021.  A visitation is scheduled for 10 AM and the celebration of life at 11 AM.  Burial will take place at the DFW National Cemetery at a later date.

HISTORY

Karin was born at home in Fresno, California to James Roy Gustafson and Juanita Violet Gustafson on February 7, 1950.  She attended schools in Fresno and in Carson City, Nevada.  She received Christ as her Savior as a child and was filled with the Holy Spirit during her early teen years.

Karin attended Bethany Bible College in Santa Cruz, California a little while and it was during her stay in that city that she met Louis, with whom she raised eleven children-ten natural and one adopted.  She became an LVN and worked part time early in the marriage.  Karin’s deepest desire was to be a godly influence on her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren and to see them develop into men and women of God.  She gave birth to seven of the children at home and home-schooled them all.

She lived to her full potential without regret.  She was a woman of great moral strength, high virtue and intense passion for Christ and her family, and she never wavered from her faith.  She was a wonderful wife to her husband, a beautiful example to her sons and daughters, and poured into her grandchildren and great grandchildren with fervor and love.

SURVIVORS

Karin is survived by Louis, her husband of 51 years, and by her children: Jessica, Carson, Austin, Denver, Trenton, Lincoln, Lansing, Madison, Richmond, Helena, and Charleston; thirty-three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and by her brother, Phillip.  She is preceded in death by her parents, and by two siblings: Dave, and Sheryl.
