Kathryn Deann Harmon Bellar, 62, of Whitesboro, passed away December 16, 2022 in Fort Worth. She was born in Sherman on October 13, 1960.
Deann attended Valley View High School. She was a cafeteria worker for Gainesville ISD for 10 years. Later she worked in retail clothing sales and then found her true gift; she cared for the elderly in their homes and formed deep bonds with her charges and their families, providing companionship in her typical loving way.
Mrs. Bellar is survived by her husband Jerry Bellar of Whitesboro; mother Audra Harmon of Whitesboro; son Walt Young of Ponder; daughter Sandee Mercer of Seymore; grandchildren Michigan, Gaivin, Lindsey Mercer all of Gainesville; great-grandson Miloh Don Mercer of Gainesville. She is also survived by her sister Tracye Barthold of Whitesboro; sister and brother-in-law Angie and Mike Dillard of Whitesboro.
Deann was preceded in death by her father Don Harmon.
A funeral for Mrs. Bellar will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Isham officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
