Kenny Hoedebeck

December 1, 1938 — December 28, 2024

Kenny Hoedebeck went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2024.  Jesus tells us that He has numbered our days and prepared a place for us and He will take us to be with Him.  Kenny is now experiencing everlasting love, joy, and peace in the presence of our Lord.

Kenny's life love was farming.  He began farming at the age of 10 and continued throughout his life.  Kenny’s dad Leo, Jim Myers, Danny, and himself owned and operated Hoedebeck & Myers Dairy until the late 90’s when the Hoedebeck family then took over the business.  On April 14th 2007, the last cow was milked.  From that point on they went straight to a beef herd and continued farming.  He served in the National Guards for six years and served as a member on the Red River Farm Co-op.  He always knew God was sovereign and rested in that knowledge.

Kenny was born on December 1, 1938 in Tishomingo, OK to Leo Clemens Hoedebeck and Marie Theresa Yosten Hoedebeck and the family moved to Gainesville in 1948.  He is survived by his children Tracy Robbins, Donna Foreman and husband Kirk, and Joe Hoedebeck and wife Lisa, and 5 grandchildren.  He is also survived by sister Shirley Klement Flint, brother Danny Hoedebeck and sister Kathy Day and husband Ernie as well as several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by two children, Brent and Joshua, his sister Charlotte Zimmerer and his parents Leo and Marie Hoedebeck.

A rosary will be held at 5:30 pm at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home on January 3rd, 2024.  Visitation will occur following the rosary from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.  A Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church on January 4th at 10:30 am.  A graveside service will follow the funeral at Oak Grove Cemetery.  There will be a meal for the family at St. Mary's Parish Hall after the graveside service.  Pallbearers for the funeral are Joshua Foreman, Todd Reiter, Brad Reiter, Carlos Garcia, Danny Miller, and Gary Don Fenley.  Honorary pallbearers are Gene Reiter, Chris Wolf, George Bond, and Rex Harrell.

Donations can be made to St. Mary's Church and flowers can be sent to the funeral home.  Kenny always had a soft spot for those down on their luck and helping out such a person in his memory would make him smile.
