Graveside services for Kim Banks Austin, 65, of Gainesville, are set for 10:00 AM Friday, September 10, 2021, at the Fairview Cemetery with Sam Houston officiating. No visitation is planned.

Kim was born on March 19, 1956, in Dallas, TX to Marcus William Austin and Jayne (Banks) Austin. He passed away on September 8, 2021, in Gainesville.

Kim enjoyed golf, gardening, dominoes, his German Shepards, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys, and UT football. He was a longtime member of Whaley United Methodist Church.

Kim is survived by his mother Jayne Austin; and numerous friends and extended relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father Marcus Austin.
