Krista Nicole Rogers

A funeral service for Krista Nicole Rogers, 49, of McKinney, is scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, April 25, 2025 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Bruce Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rogers passed away at her home on April 19, 2025. She was born April 7, 1976 in Sherman to Herman Earl and Cynthia Dell (Mitchell) Harendt.

Krista proudly earned her MBA from A&M Commerce and she was employed at AT&T for 20 years.

Krista was a kind and caring person that loved spending time surrounded by family. She enjoyed working on projects around the home, especially gardening. She liked to travel when she was able, often taking her mother with her. She truly cherished her sons and her dogs always held a special place in her heart.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband James Rogers of McKinney, marrying in Eureka Springs, AR in October of 2005. She is also survived by her son Christopher Louis Kerekgyarto of McKinney; son Steven Douglas Kerekgyarto of McKinney; son and daughter-in-law Nicholas Adam Kerekgyarto and Coya Rogers of McKinney; brother and sister-in-law Michael and Marcie Harendt of Tomball; brother and sister-in-law Jason and Shauna Harendt of Collinsville; brother Aaron Harendt of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law Randy and Christi Johnson of Strawn; her mother Cynthia Dell Harendt; 4 aunts; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Krista was preceded in death by her father Herman Earl Harendt, nephew Fletcher Harendt, and her grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research.
