Leita Magee

Leita May Magee, 96, of Gainesville, TX, passed away April 23, 2024 in Gainesville.  She was born February 20, 1928 in Brownsville, TX.  No formal services are scheduled at this time.  Mrs. Magee will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville.

Survived by: daughter Debbie Floyd of San Antonio, TX; grandson Matt Burkholder of Lubbock, TX; brother Lionel Betancourt and wife Mary Ann of San Benito, TX; and sister Betty Wilson of Austin, TX.

Predeceased by: parents Francisco “Paco” Betancourt and Alice May (Sosa) Betancourt; husband Edward Magee; son Keith Magee; and brother Frank Betancourt.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to those that cared for Mrs. Magee, including Tammie Vela, Dr. Larry Sears, River Valley Nursing Home, and Solaris Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels servicing the Gainesville area.
