Linda Morrison Morgan

February 8, 1956 — March 4, 2021

Linda Gale Morgan, of Callisburg, lost her earthly battle with cancer and now lives with her Heavenly Father.

Linda was born in Gainesville, Texas to Lebert (Tater) and Gladys Mozingo Morrison.  She grew up in the Walnut Bend Community, attending Walnut Bend Elementary School, and graduating from Callisburg High School in 1974.

Linda was the youngest of 6 children; her parents called her their “straight 8” baby, born on the 8th day, weighing 8 lb. 8 oz. at 8:08 am.  She worked at Safran, originally Weber Aircraft, for over 30 years.

Linda was a member of First Baptist Church in Whitesboro.

She is survived by her husband, Boyce Morgan, whom she married on October 5, 1990; son & daughter-in-law Heath & Sharon Gray; daughter Lynette Gray; 4 granddaughters, and 1 grandson; sisters Virginia (Rick) McNairn and Alice LaFlamme; brothers Vernon (Gloria) Morrison and Richard Morrison

One of the bonuses of her marriage to Boyce was his family:  son Jeff Morgan and his family, Darian Morgan and his family, Craig and Kyle Morgan, daughter Debroah Jenkins and her family, sister and brother-in-law Junior & Sharon Durham, brothers Johnny and Morse Morgan along with their families.

Linda relished her walk with our Lord, Jesus and our Heavenly Father.  She loved the outdoors, crocheting, reading, “42”, and time with her biological and church family.  She was a beautiful woman, inside and out, a hard worker, modest, always a good friend.  She never liked having people take care of her but preferred to be the giver rather than the receiver.  Her passing leaves a vast emptiness in many lives.  However, her family is grateful for the time she was with them.

She was preceded in death by her son, Chad Gray; parents, Tater and Gladys Morrison; father of her children, John Gray; sister Lora Hill; sisters-in-law, Pam Morrison and Elena Morrison; brother-in-law, Richard LaFlamme; step-children Darian Morgan and Debroah Jenkins.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 8, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro with Bro. Mike Flanagan officiating.  Burial will follow in the Callisburg Cemetery.  The family will receive friends in the Church prior to the service starting at 1:00 PM.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations requested for Hospice Plus.
