Lisa A. (Rucks) Spikes, age 45, of Woodbine, Tx, passed away Friday morning, Apr. 19, 2024, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center surrounded by family.
Lisa was born on Sept. 26, 1978, to Lawerence “Chuck” Rucks and Janet (Champion) Rucks in Conroe, Tx. After graduating Valley View High School in 1997, Lisa went on to pursue her passion for caring for people, by earning her BSN and working as a registered nurse for 20 years. After earning her degree, Lisa married her husband, Ashley Spikes. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt. Lisa always made time for family and dedicated time to spoiling her nieces and nephews.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Ashley Spikes of Woodbine, Tx, mother Janet Rucks of Mountain Springs, Tx, sister Kay Coder and husband Preston of Mountain Springs, Tx, Brother Dustin Rucks and wife Rebekah of Mountain Springs, Tx, Mother-in-Law Audry Spikes of Daphne, AL, Sister-in-Law Kym Krebs and husband John of Loxley, AL, nieces Jessica Coder, Bethany Coder, Maisie Rucks and nephews Colter Rucks, McKennon Krebs, Keaton Krebs, and Nate Krebs.
Lisa is preceded in death by her father Lawerence “Chuck” Rucks, grandparents Curly and Melba Champion, Skeet and Virginia Rucks, and father-in-law Buddy Spikes.
Funeral Services will be held at Geo. J. Carroll & Sons funeral home in Gainesville, Texas on Wednesday, Apr. 24th at 2pm with Pastor Ken Peterson, of Sanger, Officiating. Burial to follow at New Hope Cemetery in Mountain Springs, Texas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday Apr. 23rd from 6-8pm at the funeral home, preceding the funeral.
