A memorial service for Louella P. McAnelly, 102, of Lake Kiowa, TX, is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Gainesville, TX, with Dr. Jeff Langley officiating. Inurnment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, OK will be scheduled for the near future.
Mrs. McAnelly passed away May 24, 2021 in Lake Kiowa.
Louella was born February 5, 1919 in Ingalls, OK to Walter Benjamin and Minnie Myrtle (Sturgell) Wagner. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bartlesville, OK and First Baptist Church in Gainesville, TX. Mrs. McAnelly’s biggest passion was gardening. Besides keeping a beautiful garden herself, she was also a member and officer of several gardening clubs and would travel the state of Oklahoma judging at flower shows. Mrs. McAnelly was also talented in jewelry making, bead work, needle work, wood carving, upholstery work, and enjoyed book reviews.
Survivors include: daughter, Patricia Ann (McAnelly) Morgan and husband, Richard of Lake Kiowa, TX; daughter-in-law, Susan McAnelly of Acampo, CA; grandchildren: David Morgan, Steven Morgan, Jim McAnelly, Lisa Lowrey, and Clinton McAnelly; ten great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandson, Koby Leach.
Mrs. McAnelly was preceded in death by: husband of 73 years, George C. McAnelly; son, George C. McAnelly, III; her parents; three sisters; and one brother.
Memorial contributions may be made to: The Salvation Army; First United Methodist Church of Bartlesville, OK; and First Baptist Church of Gainesville, TX.
