Louis Ray Hames

Funeral services for Louis Ray Hames, 72, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Darrell McIntyre officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 7 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Louis was born November 9, 1945 in Gainesville to Edd and Allene (Savage) Hames.  He passed away October 5, 2018 in Gainesville.

Mr. Hames was the owner and operator of B & L Machining for over 35 years.  He also farmed and ranched his entire life.

Survivors include: wife Betty Hames of Gainesville; daughter Christi Perry and husband Joshua of Denton; daughter Janet Shuppert and husband Will of Whitesboro; grandchildren: Cameron Perry, Foster Perry, Ashlyn Chester, and Lauren Chester; and sister Helen Stobaugh of Gainesville.

Mr. Hames was preceded in death by his parents.
