Funeral Mass for Marie Zimmerer, 102, of Gainesville, is set for 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lindsay with Fr. Raymond McDaniel Officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the funeral home.
Marie was born on June 28, 1918 in Muenster to Joseph Flusche and Mary ( Koelzer) Flusche. She passed away on December 5, 2020 in Gainesville.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lawrence Zimmerer; sisters Anna Henscheid, Ida Neu, Marcella Fetsch, Amella Lutkenhaus, and Magdalene Zimmerer; brothers Lawrence Flusche, Al Flusche, Conrad Flusche, Andy Flusche, J.P. Flusche, and Urban Flusche; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gary Fetsch, Dennis Lutkenhaus, Richard Zimmerer, Gene Flusche, Albert Zimmerer, and Harold Flusche.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to EWTN, 5817 Old Leeds Rd., Irondale, AL 35210; or a charity of your choice.
