Marjorie Jane Gibson

Marjorie Jane Gibson, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother from Thackerville, Oklahoma, peacefully passed from this life on March 1, 2023 at age 82.  Surrounded by her family, she knew she was loved to the very end.

Jane was born to Bill and Joyce Baker on September 21, 1940 in Gainesville, Texas.  She married the love of her life, Dwayne Gibson, on September 3, 1960.  Together they enjoyed a 62-year adventure and oh what an adventure it was for her.  They had two sons, Brad and James, and built a great life for themselves.

Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her family and she did it beautifully and selflessly.  She was the best example of what a wife, mom and friend should be in this life.  While she had two of her own, she counted so many others as “her kids”.  They know who they are, and all would agree that “Mom” was always there.

Jane is survived by her husband, Dwayne Gibson, of Thackerville; Brad and Paula Gibson of Valley View, Texas; James and Sheila Gibson of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, Bryan and Bradley Gibson, and Brandon and Matt Stell; and four great-grandchildren.

There will be no funeral service.  The family will instead hold a small, private gathering to honor the life of this incredible woman.  Angels on earth do exist and we were so very blessed to have her for 82 years.
