Marsaleen “Marcie” (Tuggle) Dunn, 85, of Gainesville, passed away May 18, 2024 in Denton.

Marcie was born July 23, 1938 in Muenster, TX.  She graduated from Gainesville High School and married Wayne Dunn on November 11, 1961.  She was manager of the Lorch Company dress factory in Gainesville for many years.  Mrs. Dunn was an avid reader and supported the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.  She loved her dogs, Sugar Bear and Ralphy, and treasured her granddaughters and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dunn was preceded in death by: parents Hugh Lee and Leona Lucille (Bridges) Tuggle; husband Wayne Dunn; and sister Teresa Tuggle.

Survivors include: daughter Tammy Gilbreath (Allen) of Gainesville; son Victor Lee Dunn; granddaughter Mandy Long (Colby) of Lake Kiowa; granddaughter Lauren Graue (Brian) of Melissa; great-grandchildren Noah, Adley, Amelia, Harper, Collin, and Cooper; and sister Barbara Barton (Kenneth) of Euless.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends, beginning at 1:00 p.m., prior to the funeral.  Mrs. Dunn will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery.  You may register your condolences online at www.geojcarroll.com.
