Marsha Kay Reiter, 67, of Valley View, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 in Denton and is awaiting the return of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 3, at the funeral home Chapel with Elder Leighton Holley officiating. Interment will follow at Era Cemetery.
Marsha was born November 3, 1953 in Electra, TX to Glenn Foster and Nell (Swinford) Foster. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1972. She married the love of her life, Eugene Reiter, on June 18, 1977 in Gainesville. Mrs. Reiter was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gainesville, serving God through song, children’s ministries, and several other positions. She served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Fort Worth First Adventist Junior Academy. Marsha held various jobs throughout her life. Foremost, she was a loving wife and mother. She also practiced cosmetology in Valley View and Denton, worked at Ashley’s Outlet Store and the Uniform Store in Gainesville, and as an executive assistant with corporate Radio Shack. Mrs. Reiter’s greatest gift was sharing her home with friends and family. Her greatest attribute was the caring nature that she exhibited with those she loved.
Mrs. Reiter was preceded in death by: daughter, Chelsea Reiter; father, Glenn Foster; mother, Nell (Swinford) Foster; and brother, Larry Foster.
Survivors include: husband of 44 years, Eugene Reiter of Valley View; son, Chad Reiter of Corpus Christie; son, Carl Reiter Wright of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren: Colton and Ashlynn Reiter; brother and sisters-in-law: Randy and Paula Reiter of Era, and Juanita Reiter of Fort Worth; aunt, Jessie (Swinford) Jackson of Valley View; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Mrs. Reiter was a servant of God and friend to all. It was Marsha’s goal in life to ensure each person knew God loved them and she loved them as well.
