Marvin Henry Goeser passed away calmly and peacefully on August 1, 2020. He was born in Westphalia, Iowa on June 4, 1944. He served in the US Army from 1962 to 1965 and also in the Army Reserve from 1965 to 1968.
Marvin spent most of his working life as a heavy equipment mechanic in road construction. During his retirement he was spending most of his time as a backyard small engine repair guy.
Mr. Goeser is survived by his wife of 17 years, Wendy Goeser; 3 sisters: Arlene Zacharias of Persia, Iowa, Theresa Holtz of Walnut, Iowa, and Karen Hess of Dunlap, Iowa. He is also survived by nieces Lauri Stein Jones and Brandi Hallstrom; nephews Clint Holtz, James Goeser, Cory Hess, and Nathan Hess; step-daughter Rebecca Umbach of Plymouth, Indiana; step-son Jacob Longtin of Gainesville, Texas.
Marvin was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Goeser; mother Marie (Patten) Goeser; brother Allen Goeser; nephew Tim Stein; beloved “Uncle Charlie”.
