Mary Lou Martindale

Graveside services for Mary Lou Martindale of Valley View are set for Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley View Cemetery with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Valley View Church of Christ. Public viewing will take place on Thursday, December 26, 2024 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas.

Mrs. Martindale, 86, of Valley View, Texas passed away on December 22, 2024 at her home. Mary Lou was born on April 22, 1938 in Ryan, Oklahoma to Ernest and Marcella Palmer. She was a graduate of Irving High School. On January 25, 1957, she married Robert Harrison Martindale in Fort Worth, Texas. They were married 52 years before Robert’s passing in 2009. In 1962 they moved to Valley View and started Martindale Feed Mill. She was a member of the Valley View Church of Christ. Mrs. Martindale enjoyed being with her family, traveling, watching her grandkids play sports and cheer. Her greatest blessing was being called “Granny”.

She is survived by her son Danny and wife Shirlee Martindale and daughter Debra and Ryan Norwood of Valley View, Texas. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Chad and Wife Syndi Martindale, Cody and Wife Kristen Martindale, Jacob Norwood, Lyuda Norwood and Quay and wife Mikala DePriest and six great grandchildren. Brothers Don and Kavin Palmer of Kiowa, Kansas, Sisters Sue Johnson of Magnolia, Arkansas, Marsha Keith of Ryan, Oklahoma, and Jan Palmer of Gainesville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Valley View Cemetery or VNA Hospice.
