Funeral services for Mary Jane Stewart, 76, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, February 3, 2023 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Arant and Rev. Larry Kremling officiating.  Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery.  A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.

Mary passed away January 27, 2023 in Gainesville.  She was born September 26, 1946 to Edward and Ona (Baucom) Bennie.  She graduated from Valley View ISD in 1965.  She married Clinton Stewart February 12, 1966.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her husband Clinton Stewart; daughter Debbie Cross & husband Mark Miller,; daughter Cindy Idom & husband Bret; son William Stewart & wife Raina; grandchildren:  Eddie Miller, Chris Miller & Lacey Knighten, Zack & Hailey Miller, Sarah & Steven Nottingham, Crystal & Anthony Hurst, Brody, Blake and Bryce Stewart; great-grandchildren Faith, Hope, Waylen, Kannen, Brantley & Madden Miller, Vivian Hurst and Mason Stewart; sister-in-law & brother-in-law Linda & Bill Moore and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Edward & Ona Bennie, father-in-law & mother-in-law O.C. & Lavern Stewart, sister Zelta Martin, and brother Frank Bennie.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Eddie, Chris & Zack Miller and Brody, Blake & Bryce Stewart.  Honorary pallbearers are Steven Nottingham and Anthony Hurst.
