Goddess Melanie Ellen Martinez, age 47, of Gainesville, Texas, elevated to the 5D to reunite with her dad on Wednesday June 5th.
Melanie was a demon slayer, a Creator, a light worker, a healer, a lover, a fighter, an eater, a divine Mother. She had the heart of a lion and the mouth of a sailor. She was the most resilient person most of us have ever known. Life dealt her some s***--and some of that she asked for. But she let none of it stop her. In the face of more adversity than many of us can imagine, she kept going and kept loving Ezuberongously. She could talk nonstop for hours. She was the best or the worst liar, depending on who she was lying to. But she was also a truth-teller, and she could melt your heart in a second--no matter how angry with her you might be.
Melanie had a zest for living, and she did it large and loud. We can only hope that we possess that same seeking of adventure, that questioning of norms and mores, and that belief that good things are coming. Our Sweet Mel is--in her word--galactivating. She’s gone on to a freer, more open space. And we are here, once again, trying to catch up.
At the top of Melanie’s last to-do list she had written “share my light with others.” In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you follow Melanie’s lead and share your own light.
Melanie is preceded in death by her father, Lesleye Parkhill. She is survived by many people who loved her, including her children, Elizabeth Venegas (Nick), Ethan McCollum, Elise McCollum (Ian Harvey), Ember McCollum (Alijah Hollingsworth), Evan McCollum, and Esabella Martinez; her grandchildren, Alex, Aurora, Novaleigh, Maizie, and Juliet; her mother, Karen Parkhill (Santos Juarez); her brother, Jasper Juarez; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and strangers.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Melanie’s life at 10:00 AM on Wednesday June 12, at the pavilion in New Hope Cemetery in Mountain Springs.
