Melissa Condron Wadley

Melissa Condron Wadley, age 63, died from advanced cancer on April 9, 2023 at Homestead of Denison where she had lived for 13 days.  Several family members were with her during her final moments and she died peacefully.

Melissa was born March 26, 1960 in the old Gainesville Memorial Hospital and she attended first through fourth grades at Edison School in Gainesville.  Then her dad, R.H. “Cotton” Condron, was transferred twice, causing her to graduate high school in Amarillo in 1978.  Melissa returned to Gainesville in 1986 with her husband, Jeff Wadley.  During this time, she enjoyed sitting with one little baby at a time in her home – this was before she had Molly.  Also, she loved directing the handbell choir at Whaley Methodist Church.  She moved to Sherman to live near her mother in 2019.

Ms. Wadley was preceded in death by her father.

Ms. Wadley’s passing will be mourned by her mother, Sue Condron, of Sherman; brother and wife, Randy and Barbara Condron, of Shell Knob, MO; sister, Lyn Condron, of Everett, MA; her birth daughter, Molly SueAnn Walker; two nieces; one nephew; three grandnieces; one grandnephew; and one great-grandniece.

Memorial services, under the care of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, are pending at this time.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to a hospice organization of one’s choosing.
