Michael Rene “Mike” Gregg, 54, of Gainesville, TX, passed away November 7, 2023 in Denton, TX.

Mike was born on May 1, 1969 in Wheatridge, CO.  His children were the highlight of his life.  He was so proud of who they are, and will continue to be.  He had a passion for motorcycles...he absolutely loved getting out on the open road to ride.  Mike loved heavy metal music...his favorites included Motorhead, Slayer & Judas Priest.  He shared a love & appreciation for firearms with his brother.  He was obsessed with boats and he dreamed & planned to do the Great Loop thru the eastern U.S. in a few years...and get some fishing in.  Mike had friends from all walks of life.  He would do whatever he could to help out someone in need, and in one last gesture, he was a donor.  Mike helped three strangers with the gift of life.  That's the kind of man he was.

Mike was preceded in death by: mother, Pamela Jean Armstrong; and sister-in-law, Courtney (Robinson) Gregg.

Mike is survived by: father, William Byron Gregg of Colorado; wife, Courtney K. Gregg; son, Michael Briggs of Oregon; daughters, Rowan Gregg of Texas and Katey Gregg of Ohio; siblings: William Gregg of Texas, Tommy Gregg of Colorado, Amanda Spencer of Iowa, Elizabeth van der Marck-Gregg of Colorado, and Sam Gregg of Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.  A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Woodbine.
