Monica Ann Bentley

Monica Ann Bentley, 39, of Gainesville, passed away October 12, 2023 in Gainesville.

Monica was born April 10, 1984 in Gainesville and attended Era Schools.  She excelled as an athlete, participating in cheerleading, dance team, basketball, softball, cross country, gymnastics, and even Boy’s Club football.  Monica attended Era United Methodist Church and enjoyed cosmetology.  She worked at Los Mariachis and WinStar.  Monica will be remembered for her amazing laugh and sense of humor.

Survivors include: husband Billy Jackson of Gainesville; son Eddy Dirk Wofford; son Jevan Elijah Jackson; son Josiah Bentley Wright; parents Rex and Marla (Bledsoe) Bentley of Era; brother Jeremiah Bentley (Brandy) of Austin; sister Brandi Parker of Georgia; sister Hope Tuel (Todd) of Aledo; uncle Keith Bentley of Era; aunt Debra Nini (Larry) of Lake Kiowa; aunt Vanese Beavers (Toxie) of Gainesville; aunt Jackie McLerran (David) of Gainesville; and a host of beloved siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Monica was preceded in death by: grandparents Orville and Mildred (Myers) Bentley and grandparents Marvin and Lavonia (Snow) Bledsoe.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 17, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.  A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, at the funeral home chapel.  A committal service will follow at Era Cemetery.
