Nelda Murl Ford

Funeral services for Nelda Murl Ford, 85, of Era, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Valley View Church of Christ with Ken Cebrun officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 6:00 PM.

Nelda was born at home on September 25, 1932 in Era, Texas to Tom and Damie (Murl) Stephenson. She passed away on August 5, 2018 in Decatur.

Nelda is survived by son Howard Rex Ford of Valley View; son Steven Don Ford and his wife Alice of Valley View; daughter Carlyn Nan Meyer and her husband Jimmy of Era; grandchildren Tammi Ford, Carla Jo Ford, Hannah Lynn Ford, Thomas Ford and his wife Michelle, Daniel Ford, Nicole Sawyers and her husband Duane, Alisha Archer and her husband Chad, and Shelbi Roane and her husband Matt; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Rae Ann Davis of Gainesville; and sister-in-law Doris Stephenson of Era.

Nelda was preceded in death by her parents; sister Sterlena Stephenson; brother Sterling Stephenson; sister Laverne Moon; and brother Wallace Stephenson.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
