Norma Geraldine (Lundy) Staton was born in Cambridge, Kansas in the home of her maternal grandparents, Daniel and Ivy Maude (Putnam) Ryan on July 5, 1922, to parents, Howard Kinney and Lucille Manilla Lundy. She graduated from Cambridge High school in 1940 and married Richard Albert Staton on May 30, 1942.
Mrs. Staton was preceded in death by: husband, Richard Staton on July 13, 1982; son Richard Larry Staton on October 24, 2012; mother on August 18, 1987; father on June 23, 1976; sister, Cleta Crawford on October 31, 2003; sister, Winifred LeSuer on November 28, 2001; brother, Amil (Barney) Lundy on October 18, 2011; and son-in-law, Joe A. Shields on April 26, 2017.
Survivors include: daughter, Rita Arlene Smith and husband, Alan of Era, TX; daughter, Lana Gaylene Shields of The Colony; daughter-in-law, Sandy Staton of Winfield, KS; grandchildren: Sherri Burks, Alan Smith, Jr., Warren Smith, Aaron Smith, Joe R. Shields, Jana Shields, and Terry Bell; 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to The Wheeler House staff, Hospice Plus, and many friends in the community for their prayers and support.
