Novella Rosson

Georgia Novella (Mobley) Rosson, 79, of Gainesville, passed away January 9, 2021 in Denton.  She was interred at High Point Cemetery following private services.

Novella was born August 17, 1941 in Love Co., OK to Cloy and Doris (Bellah) Mobley.  She was a member of Gainesville High School’s graduating class of 1959 and married George Rosson on September 23, 1960.  Amongst other jobs, Mrs. Rosson managed the office for Wallace Inglish Insurance Agency.  She was a creative artist, working in painting, crafting, woodwork, but best known for her glass art yard flowers.  Mrs. Rosson touched countless lives, be it through the love she freely gave her family, or the children in her home daycare, or as a volunteer at ABBA Women’s Center, an organization that was very near to her heart.

Survivors include: husband, George Rosson of Gainesville; children, all of Gainesville: Dee Dee and John Godi, Robbie and Tim Moore, Travis and Wayna Rosson, Amy and Clif Washek, and Chisum and Skylyn Rosson; grandchildren: Jenna (Chris), Seth (Tara), Cole (Brittany), Katie (Jordan), Victoria, Quinton (Brittany), Jacob (Lizzie), Jessee (Jonathon), Jasper, Jack, Sage, and Isaac; 15 great-grandchildren; twin sister Ovella and William Baldwin; brothers: Don and Brenda Mobley, Ricky and Sandy Mobley, all of Gainesville; brother, Mike and Jo Mobley of Austin; sister-in-law, Marie and Dickey Powell of Chickasha, OK; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved fur-baby, Opie.

Mrs. Rosson was preceded in death by: her parents; and brother, Tom Mobley.
